Beginning butterfly pinning can be a challenging process so we've worked hard to create this kit and the best how-to videos available!
Pinning Kit: Everything you need to start pinning butterflies and moths
Butterfly Spreading Kit includes
- Professional grade polyethylene high-density foam pinning board (MUCH better and easier to use than the styrofoam or loose cell foam boards generally included in kits + they're MADE IN THE USA),
- 100 entomology pinning needles (Size 2 for butterflies),
- 12 glassine wing strips (to hold wings in place while pinning),
- spade tip entomology tweezers (with smooth tips to avoid damaging wings),
- 3 REAL, dried, preserved butterflies to practice on
NOTE: Butterflies included will be randomly selected species, and may all be the same species.
Great for entomology students, collectors, hobbyists, and butterfly artists. These kits are essential for anyone buying dried, papered butterflies, and will allow you to open up the wings of the butterflies. Your butterflies can then be used in frames, art, or display.
These boards are also made right here in the USA, and unlike other foam, use a 0% ozone depletion process :). Boards may vary in coloration from photos, depending on foam colors available. Board measurements: 5” wide, 12” long, and 2” deep with a 1/4” by 1/4” groove.

Orders will ship within 3-5 business days from the USA and we ship only within the domestic USA.
Please note that because of their fragile nature we cannot guarantee antennae will still be intact.

Refund Policy
We want all our customers to be satisfied with our products. If you experience any problems within 14 days of receiving your item let us know and we will refund, replace, or exchange your item.
